This is the original engine designed by Crawford Performance that firmly established CP as the leader in Subaru four cylinder performance engines. These engines were meticulously designed and assembled for the Gumball 3000 DC Shoes Subarus. As its name implies, the Gumball 3000 takes place over 3,000 fast and grueling miles. The CP S2 Long Block took it all in stride, proving itself to bulletproof from start to finish.
Each set of Crawford Performance pistons are forged and must meet the strict standards of Crawford Performance’s master engine builder, Quirt Crawford. These custom designed pistons are used by many well known Subaru engine builders around the world. But perhaps the true testament of our pistons is marked by the fact that we’ll use nothing else in any engine we build. We prove these pistons each and every day at tracks all around the world so that you can be confident that they will withstand anything you can throw at them.
