With the introduction of the new and improved version of the 84mm billet crank (lighter and stronger than before) we have rebadged the the name to a 2.7 liter engine, capable of powering on the torque where the competition can not. To prove the potential, with a wider power band (more area under the curve) and more torque we competed at the 2009 Modified Magazine Shootout. Down over 60 whp to the closests competitors engine but we went out and set a NEW track record and won the Time Attack.
The world’s largest commercially available displacement STI stroked block with an 84mm crank, 3 mm larger than the nearest competitor. Where some engines might be able to make full boost at 100+ RPM's faster than stock, we not only improve upon that by 300 RPM's more (therefore 400+ RPM's faster than stock) but also offer a lightning quick throttle response and boost response. Offering a broader power band and more low end torque this is what will give you the edge, wins races and even gives you that kick in the pants feel when driving the car around town.
Crawford Performance billet cranks are the center piece of these masterpieces. While these engines can outperform any Subaru 2.5-liter engine based on shear displacement, the precise design and professional balance and assembly is what establishes the bar above all others. Vastly improved throttle response, Crawford-guaranteed faster turbo spooling, and massive power gains have made this package almost unbeatable time and time again.

The Race Prepped Heads are a true race bred system, proving itself with over 16 race track wins within a 1 year time span. These race proven heads have sustained high RPM loads at the race track or drag strip and even set horsepower records on the OEM ECU with I-Speed USA tuning. There are not many race heads that can set fast times while handling the abuse dished out Crawford Performance drivers and tuners.
