The newest of CP’s engine packages improves on the very successful SR6 package by enhancing the width and height of the power band overall. While the displacement is raised for a larger power band, the valves are upgraded to handle higher engine temps produced by the increased power output of the engine.
While displacement and billet/ forged internals are used to increase the reliable power of the engine, balanced and lightweight components improve the overall efficiency and responsiveness of the engine package. Thus far in the 2007 season, the SR6 2.75-Liter Engine Package has proven itself to be the GT Live Time Attack Champion and Lap Record Holder at Miller Motorsports Park.
While all the features of the CP SR6-Race will build a very powerful engine package, a professional tune is required from a reliable engine management system in order to attain the power levels this package is designed for. Please note this engine package requires a minimum of 100 octane race gas.
Race Prepped Heads - Crawford Performance professionally hand ported high power cylinder heads come complete with a performance valve job, valve springs with titanium retainers and are ready to install. A recommended 8500 maximum RPM designed for faster spooling characteristics and less frictional loss.
